What God says about anxiety…..

IMG-20161004-WA0013Hello everyone! Happy Sunday afternoon..

It’s important that we get to understand what God tells us about anxiety in his holy scriptures. In the book of Philippians 4:6-7, the holy Bible instructs us that have no anxiety about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, make your requests be known to God, and the peace of God that surpasses all the understanding will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus…(R.S.V.B)

The question this Sunday is this…why worry when you can pray? What is that difficult thing that can defeat God? I know that you know this…perhaps so….but allow me to ask….Did you know that anxiety can kill? It’s high time we reflected on this issue of anxiety.

Anxiety is not good to the heart. Neither is it good to the body and soul. When you become anxious, the body maintains a worrying state that puts all organs and systems under tension. The body becomes unfit to perform physiological functions. Anxiety causes the pressure in the vessels to rise. One feels tired and exhausted, appetite flees, and they even lose interest in the environment. They may then enter into depression. This is a devastating state to the body.

Now, when you pray to God, all the worries flee. God listens and answers prayer according to your faith and needs. The power of reassurance through Christ Jesus sets in and the storm in you settles down, converting itself into peace. Christ calms storms. He fills us with his confidence which is the contradiction to anxiety. So, why worry when you can pray? Why go about expressing worry and fear when you can comfortably take everything to God in prayer?

This Sunday, reflect on this message and connect with God through Christ Jesus.

Have a blessed Sunday. God loves you.
